Roundtable on Understanding the Synergy Between PMLA and IBC
In the last eight years of the implementation of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), the law has experienced friction with certain provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 (PMLA). This tension has led to large productive assets being locked in disputes, resulting in a loss of their contribution to GDP, thereby impacting economic growth.
Considering the importance of this issue, the Insolvency Law Academy (ILA), in collaboration with NM Law Chambers (Founded by Ms. Neeha Nagpal and Mr. Malak M. Bhatt), is holding a Roundtable on Friday, January 17 2025 understanding the tensions between PMLA and IBC to discuss the way ahead.
