The Insolvency Scholars Forum, established under the auspices of the Insolvency Law Academy (an institute of excellence in India), organized an inaugural conference on 5 February 2023 in New Delhi, India. The special issue of the International Insolvency  Review (IIR) journal, which arose from the conference, has lined up a series of papers from the many presentations that illuminate how an optimal insolvency and restructuring legal framework may be designed both internationally and in India.
