The Insolvency Law Academy (ILA) and Burford Capital, a reputed International Litigation Funding Firm are conducting a joint study titled “Joint Study on Price Discovery in Distressed Assets – Litigation Funding.” Associate Professor Sulette Lombard of the University of South Australia is leading the litigation funding component of this research along with Mr. Sanjeev Pandey, Insolvency and Restructuring Consultant, DSK Legal and Ex Head of IBC Division, State Bank of India and Mr. Joe Durkin, Burford Capital.

Your participation would involve completing an anonymous online survey. Your insights will be invaluable in helping us understand the practical implications and challenges related to litigation funding, as well as informing potential law reform debates in this area.

The ethical aspects of this research project have been approved by the Human Research Ethics Committee of the University of South Australia as required by the Australian government research requirements, specified in the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research (2007 – updated 2018).

Participation is entirely voluntary and anonymous. A Participant Information Sheet is attached to this email, providing comprehensive details about the study.
