Priya Misra is an academician and consultant in the niche areas of Corporate Law. She has taught Corporate Insolvency Law, Corporate Restructuring Law and Corporate Law at National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru for 6 years. Before joining NLSIU, she taught at Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow and UPES, Dehradun. She has trained IRS, ICS, IES officers of different cadres, Company Secretaries, Foreign attorneys and bank officers in the contemporary areas of Corporate Law. She has been a visiting faculty at various prestigious institutions of national repute. She has also provided consultancy services to private companies in matters of corporate governance and restructuring.

Ms. Misra’s current research work focuses on cross-border insolvency law models in Asia and direct selling business law. She has submitted her thesis on cross-border insolvency law from an Indian context. Her research work is often published in Economic and Political Weekly, Vikalpa- IIM Ahmedabad, Civil Justice Quarterly, Australian Journal of Corporate Law, among others and her papers have been well received in other jurisdictions.
